This song was written since I came back to the Lord. This is also the first time I've gotten my new guitar. For years, I have been writing song to the Lord with my $70 guitar which is a bit out of tune. And after I managed to complete the "complain" song above, the Lord is my provider and rewarded me a new guitar as a sign for me to keep going, though not very expensive but sound way better than what I used before with rusty strings, I am so grateful and each time I write a song, I make sure it is a song that speak of the goodness of my Lord. It is actually written for praising Him for new generation of youths He has sent to our youth ministry. This was the season of time where youth ministry experience exponential growth not only in size but also in spiritual health. Today, you can still see those youths I am talking about, all grown up, leading and serving God in one way or another. It really warm my heart to see our God so faithful and rising up new generation each time and I pray that God will continue to have mercy upon my church and providing more wisdom to the people so that they can be a generation more and more like Jesus!! =) Rising up Isaac Ridley Lim |
