Isaac's Diary

This story happened 6 months (Apr 07) back.. I was asking myself, what do I really want in life? What I am seeking for? What are the plans God have for me in life? I want to be successful, rich or famous? Worried about career, worried about health, worried about family, worried about everything�. Always planning for my life and about what I want to achieve in life and even back up plans for unexpected situations..� Suddenly life seems so tiring clouded with these thoughts all the time, asking myself, did I sink into somewhere I do not wish to be at?

Then one night as I was praying before I sleep, I suddenly realized all these things turn meaningless when I look at them at an eternal perspective. I woke up and asked God, what do I really want if He were to give me a choice. In 1 Kings 3, God was so pleased with Solomon and willing to grant him anything that he is going to asked for. At last king Solomon chose wisdom. And God made him the most wise man in the world.

Coming back to my life, again, like many others, I am at the turning point where I can choose success or significance to be the next part of my life, but all these I want to surrender to God. I do not want anything else but longing for more of him and one day to be at that place where I can rejoice in the Lord always. The place where all pains and sorrows will be gone, a broken spirit restored and a life filled with the wonders of my God. I long for His presence and it is His presence that I will seek wherever it might be, until the day I meet God at that place (Heaven). Now that is going to be my choice, no longer I need to be worried about life because God has a plan and destiny for me to fulfill here on this earth. And I know, obedient to Him will lead me to that place where I can see him face to face, not wonderful deeds my human flesh can do or plan... If you were to ask me again, what you want in life, my answer would be "To be at That Place". I need your prayers if you are reading this, that God will inspire me to finish the song above and also, to live the life that please Him. May God show you His direction for you too in your life.
